Fabric Bundles For Sale

I decided to list some more things on Ebay today.  I already have a ton of quilting patterns and finished quilts listed for sale. You can find my items by searching for ebay ID   sewunique   or here is a link to all the auctions for you to browse.
Below are the fabric bundles I listed this morning. Below each picture is the fabric lines name and you can click on that name/link and it will take you directly to the auction.
Later on today I’m going to be listing some wool auctions – hand dyed woolens and mill dyed plaids, houndstooths etc.

Quilt Festival, Fabric and Quilt Patterns

Well, my morning started off on a great note!  International Quilt Festival has just announced they are bringing a show back to Chicago!  I’m just tickled pink about this!  June, 2013 – I’ll be there with bells on!
You can read more about that announcement here:
Next up on exciting news – I think I’ve got it all figured out on my website now!  Many of you have asked for Instant Download style patterns from us.  I kind of drug my feet on this for awhile for many different reasons and I’m still not to sure if everything will run smoothly, but you can now shop on our website for instant downloadable quilting patterns for purchase!
Come test it out for me and make sure it’s all working ok!
Click on the feathered star logo below to check this newest addition to our website out:
And lastly for today – I’ve uploaded the remaining fat quarter bundles in our inventory on our website.  There are a few good ones left at great prices!  Here’s the link for those – just click on the fabric bundle!!
I’m off to hand applique for a little while and then it’s on to the chiropractor for me today!  Have a great day!!!

Fabric Give Away

I’m cleaning the studio – yet again.
So – today may be your lucky day!  I’m doing a fabric give away from all the left over monthly fabric club packages I have left from last year when I sold fabric on my website.
This assortment of fabric varies in sizes from 5″ x 11″ up to 5″ x 22″.  There are also several Fat Sixteenth packs of fabric in this box – a fat sixteenth measures 9″ x 11″.  There are repeats – but who cares!  It’s freebie fabric and all of this is good usable stuff (great for scrappy quilts) – I just need more room and do not care to list fabric on ebay right now – besides give aways and reading your comments is way more fun than ebay!!
Here’s a picture of the goods:
The box of fabric weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces – so there is quite a bit of fabric here.  All fabric is reproduction fabrics from the past year or two.  This give away is open to all US residents – I apologize to everyone overseas  – if it wasn’t so expensive to ship to you, I’d be more than happy to!
This give away is open until sometime Thursday morning – June 7th.  So comment away if you would like a chance to win this box of fabric! I’ll ship the fabric to the winner at no charge
Also – I unpacked a box of fabric fat quarter bundles that I have leftover from my quilt show days.
Here is a link to my ebay auctions that end today that show each of the bundles I have left.  Below that is a link to my website, where I’ve also listed the bundles.
Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and your family!
I hope you have a safe and happy holiday and a wonderful start to 2012!
I’ve been hiding out in my quilting castle, finishing up projects and hoping to start the New Year working on new designs.  The following pictures are not the best – I’m a terrible photographer using my cell phone!  But these will give you a little taste of my finishes this past week!
And here is what I’m still in the middle of working on!
Lot’s and lots of scraps have been used up, yet I still feel that I’ve not made a dent in my large scrap basket.  Oh well, it sure is fun digging through it all!
For those of you that have not been to our website the past month, please take the time to stop by when you have a moment.  We are having our end of the year cleaning out sale and all fabrics are on sale!
Enjoy!
P.S. – for those of you that are curious and waiting for an update on my hands after my carpal tunnel surgeries (thank you so kindly for the emails!)  My hands are almost back to 100%.  I still have a bit of scar tissue I’m working to loosen up, they still itch a bit around the scar and are hardly ever bothersome now.  I’m done with physical therapy, but continue strengthening exercises and massage at home. My scars look great!

Memorial Day Fabric Sale on our Website!

From now until midnight Monday May 30th, 2011 —– all fabric yardage on our website will be 25% off.  This sale is as follows:  (please read this – it will only take a few minutes and will save a lot of hassles!)

****** no coupon code needed – if it’s marked as on sale on our website – then it’s on sale – if it’s not marked – then it’s not on sale.

*****fabric “on the bolt” only and there is a 1/2 yard minimum cut on all yardage. If you order less than a 1/2 yard we will not fill that portion of your order and will email you to let you know.  If there is less than a 1/2 yard left “in-stock” – go ahead and order what is remaining.

***** all coupon codes have been “turned off” during this sale and will not be affective or usable until after the sale.  If you happen to order other items that are not on sale along with “on-sale fabric” – leave the coupon code in the “comments” section in the shopping cart and we will adjust the total of your invoice prior to charging your credit card.

***** the sale begins now at this moment and is null and void on any previous orders or pre-orders from this point forward.

***** DO NOT place pre-order fabrics on the same order with items in stock.  During this sale we will not “hold” items until everything is in stock – if you “pre-order” items along with a sale item – expect an email from us – you will have to pay separate shipping!

****** this sale excludes all clubs, fabric bundles, previously listed sale fabrics (you know, the fabrics that are showing under the “Sale Fabric” category on our website currently, notions, patterns, books etc.  Basically – if it’s not showing a sale price – then it’s not on sale.

*************************

And speaking of clubs:

The Cotton Club

This club is selling out very quickly.  We already have 1/2 of the memberships filled!  You have many options for this club – so sign up today.

I saw the actual quilt and fabrics while at Quilt Market last week – you will not regret signing up for this club!

(Here’s a little hint – if you want a really good deal on this quilt club – it’s cheaper to order the whole kit at once and be done with it!)

Click on the links above or the photo of the quilt to go directly to The Cotton Club page on our website.

***************************

****Just a little update – Crossroads to Texas fabric is still “on the boat” and en route to America.  Blue Hill predicts we should see this fabric the beginning of June.

***** I have been getting a tremendous amount of emails regarding pre-ordering the following fabric lines that are all due to arrive in July. (let’s just say for future reference – if the little pre-order button is not showing on our website – then it’s not available for pre-order yet.)

Dear Jane II – now up for Pre-Order

Sweet Emilie – now up for Pre-Order

Cotton Club – now up for Pre-Order

Indigo

Sara’s Stash (this one I am waiting until Blue Hill can assure me that their will be no hold ups on this fabric line – so do not expect this one to be listed right away!)

Judie’s Nineteenth Century Backgrounds

Cocheco Mills III

Now – all these fabrics are due to arrive in July and no sooner.  July will be a very busy month for us.  We will be releasing these fabrics for pre-order soon – I have to get the images on the website, figure out the total costs on the bundles etc.  But it will be soon and definitely before we head out of town for the big NQA Quilt Show in Columbus Ohio in June!

**** A few things are changing in our neck of the woods.  We will only be receiving ONE fabric collection of each of the above listed fabric lines and no more.  So in other words – if you really want it – you better pre-order it – once it’s gone, we will not be getting anymore.  We sold out of all Carolina by Jo Morton bundles the week before it arrived – so yes the fabric sells quickly

****Also – please read all messages on each of the fabric pages.  If you are pre-ordering fabric and you order things that are already in stock – your entire order will be held until all items are in stock (with the exception of this sale that is running right now- you will pay separate shipping for pre-ordered fabrics if ordered on the same order form as sale fabrics —– please place separate orders!!!!!)

*****  Please remember – we are an Internet based business only and do not have a store front.  Please email us with any and all questions.  We are on the phone constant dealing with other things regarding our business and cannot answer every phone call that comes in – email – it’s a beautiful thing.

*******

And finally – we have made the decision not to attend Houston Quilt Festival this fall.  My family and the time I spend with them is extremely important to me.  My son is starting high school this fall and my daughter will be moving into the middle school.  Many changes in their lives and I want to make sure I can devote more time to them and help with these school transitions.

Also – we just seem to keep hitting brick walls and coming upon obstacles with this show and one other one when trying to make arrangements for booth helpers, travel and travel expenses, hotel arrangements, vacation times etc.  So – my rule of thumb – if things become to difficult to manage – then it’s time to do away with something in your life.  Life is way to short to be stressed over things.

All this and the fact that I have some really big projects in my future have made me realize that I am only one person doing the job of 20 people.  It’s time to cut back and de-stress a little.

Amen to that!

Have a safe and Happy Memorial Day!!

(oh – and almost forgot to mention – we will be out of town camping this weekend for Memorial Day and my son’s birthday.  We will not be available to respond to any emails or phone calls from this Friday through Memorial Day!)

Colonial Poison Green & Cheddar Has Arrived!

Colonies Poison Green & Cheddar Fabrics have arrived!

Finally!
It feels like we’ve waited forever for this gorgeous collection of 1830’s reproduction fabrics to come!

And to top this off – we have placed this fabric on sale also – along with everything else on our website!
(remember we are having a website wide sale right now!)

All pre-orders for this fabric have shipped!  The website is updated to reflect the remaining inventory of fabric we have on hand!
Also – be sure and check back here tomorrow!  We are going to be having a really fun give-a-way!  It’s easy and free, all ya have to do is place a comment on the give-a-way day and answer the question I ask tomorrow!!
Whew – I’m tired!  I didn’t get any sewing machine time in today, we were busy all day filling the pre-orders for this fabric line!  There’s always hope for tomorrow!  Have a great weekend!

Home For The Holidays Blog Hop Day #10

Welcome to our special little day on the
Home For The Holidays Blog Hop 2010!!!!
Here I am – the 10th Blogger on this fun little hop that we’ve been running through for the past month!  All those yummy cookie recipes and fabulous patterns that have been posted so far!  Wow – I’m in good company! Thanks Ms. Stacy of Buttermilk Basin for organizing this little hop – you rock girl!

Here in our neck of the woods, Christmas time is such a fun time for us.  We have fun traditions here and there and one that is our favorite is the “annual” putting up the Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving!  Now, I’ll admit, this year we slacked off a wee bit because we were out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday, but we jumped right on the whole Christmas decorating thing when we got back home – well I did – my children are at a “certain teen age” where it’s just not a cool thing so much anymore!  But as soon as I started decorating – the kids started getting in the spirit a little here and there!

Now if I can just keep pestering my husband just a little more – I bet the lights will be up on our house this weekend!  (Our house looks “naked” without the Christmas lights compared to the neighbors!  LOL)

I love snowmen – so I toss a few of those here and there around the house for added holiday cheer!

But the one new addition to my snowman decorating theme this year is this:

And this little Snow Pennyrug shown above my friends is my gift to you.  This is our free pattern for the blog hop and we hope you enjoy it! Here’s your link to the PDF file for you to print and enjoy:

Snow Pennyrug Pattern

I’ll get to decorating the big Christmas tree this weekend, but here’s a picture of last years tree after Santa had arrived late at night on Christmas Eve!

but for now I need to go bake another batch of these:

Surprise Package Cookies – here at our house, my husband and my kids really enjoy these cookies and they are begging for more.

Another fun holiday tradition (among many!) that we have is to venture off to Indiana on Christmas Eve to spend the afternoon and evening with my parents.  There we have a nice dinner, open presents and chit chat. It seems like every year when we leave there and start heading for home – it snows.  I wonder if this year will be any different! Here’s a little picture of my kids last year opening their presents from Grammy and Pappa!

Are they not cute!

Christmas Day itself is always a treat having children at home!  They are growing up so quickly on us, but they know – you have to believe in Santa for Santa to come and leave you presents!  After our morning of fun opening Christmas gifts, I get hard to work in the kitchen, cooking up a huge meal for my family and my husbands family and anyone else that shows up.  We usually end up with a dozen or more, all gathered around the dinner table feasting on all the goodies!

Christmas is a time of family fun here in our home, see even our dog Harley gets in the Christmas spirit!

And of course we cannot finish this blog post without announcing our annual special holiday gift for you.

Oh and wait – I have another special “something” for you!  For the next two Fridays prior to Christmas Eve (which would be December 10th and 17th) we will be posting another free pattern on each of those days!  How fun is that?  Each free pattern will be holiday oriented to help you finish decorating for the season!  So be sure and follow along on our blog to see the other free patterns that are coming soon!

Remember how I’ve been hinting around for days now in my newsletters, here on the blog and on FaceBook about a special surprise on our website?  (if you have not signed up for our newsletter yet – what are you waiting for!  You can sign up at the very end of this blog post!)
