Day #31 Zig-Zag Snowflake Pillow Tutorial

And here we are on the final day of my self-induced 31-day blog writing challenge.  I hope you have enjoyed these last 31 days in which I have shared many of the free Christmas and Holiday tutorials I was able to find online to share with you.  If you missed any days, feel free to search back through our blog!
And last but certainly not least we end our challenge on a high note with this fabulous tutorial from quilting friend Pat Sloan.
Such a cute and clever design. I love the use of the red and aqua fabrics also – two of my favorite little more modern colors added together.  These adorable snowflake pillows will see your winter decor through the remaining weeks of winter.
I wish you warmth and happy stitching.
I’m not going anywhere though. You didn’t think I’d just walk off and leave you after 31 days straight of blogging again now, did you?
I’ll see you soon folks, I need to go type some more words into that book I’m working diligently on!

I just want to make these little Trivets and have them resting on my side tables in my living room, on my nightstand in my bedroom, on my kitchen table and anywhere else!  These cute little things just add a quick smile to my face. Isn’t he adorable!
So quick and easy to make also and only uses small amounts of fabric!

I found this cute little download for you today.  This project will take a bit more time than the others I’ve shared with you, but it’s so cute!
Originally this pattern was found in Deb Strains book called, Snow Friends.  Put the publisher, Landauer has made it a free download for everyone to enjoy!

These little banners are just adorable and I hope you enjoy this tutorial!

Day #27 Snowman Potholder Tutorial and still blogging away on my challenge!

OH!  I love snowmen and this week I’m continuing on with my personal holiday blog challenge and bringing you this clever Snowman potholder pattern I found while surfing the net!
So gather your supplies and let’s make some cute new snowmen potholders to display in our kitchens this winter season.  Most of the things needed, I would bet you already have in your sewing studios.
Just small bits and pieces of many of the fabrics are needed!
I love the bright and festive version this blogger shows but I can see these made up in pretty blues and silvers and whites also.  I could see myself using my favorite homespuns which would match perfectly in my country cabin decor themed kitchen!
Enjoy your day and keep on sewing!

Day #25 Snowman Tutorial and a Very Merry Christmas to You!!!

Merry Christmas to you and your families!  I wish you the best holiday and hope each of you gets to spend cherished time with loved ones.
Today’s post will be short and sweet, but the finished snowman is nothing but adorable!  This little guy will be perfect for decorating your home throughout the rest of the winter season!
He only needs a few supplies, and as quilters, I imagine we have most of them.  If you don’t have an old sweater for his cap substitute some fleece!
Enjoy!

Day #24 Snowman Mug Rug Tutorial

Here is another cute little tutorial I found for you!
This sweet little snowman mug rug will be perfect to see your home through the winter and add a touch of whimsy to your home!  Don’t you think?

Merry Christmas Eve everyone.  I hope Santa finds your home easily tonight and brings you all your heart desires. Love your friends and family and spend precious moments together making lots of memories!

Day #23 Snowman Pillow and Quilt Tutorial

I was able to find another sweet snowman project to share with you!  Look how easy and simple! A nice way to use up some charm square size fabrics also!
A simple little snowball quilt block easily turns into a festive snowman!
Let your imagination run a little with this for a minute or two.  You could easily make a tablerunner. Snowmen placemats, potholders, pillows, mug rugs, etc.

The ideas are endless and I hope this tutorial inspires you to sew and be creative today.  Go play, have a little fun and enjoy yourself!

Day #22 Snowman Pillow & Quilt Tutorial

Look at how cute these two tutorials are!  I was so excited when I came across these completely free pattern downloads to share with you.  This creative quilter has a few other beautiful tutorials that she shares with you also on her blog.
When you click the link to go over to her blog, both of these pattern images show up at the top of the page. Just click on whichever image and the file will download automatically for you!
Enjoy your day and happy sewing!

Day #21 Fat Quarter Gift Bag Tutorial

I’m not sure about you, but I’ve had times where I’ve needed a quick gift bag or two.  This is a quick and easy idea to whip up a fat quarter gift bag!  They are adorable and just think for a second here if you are gifting something to another quilter or fabric lover at heart – they will treasure this little gift bag and be able to re-use it or repurpose it into a quilting project!  The gift that keeps on giving!  I like that!

Only a few more days before Santa’s sleigh makes his trip around the world.
My stockings are already hung by my chimney with great care!
And not like this – which I could imagine my mischievous older children doing to me so that I wake up with a surprise myself on Christmas morning! 😂
